About the Event
Sing Out
Celebrating the choral & musical diversity in North Nottinghamshire
Sing Out is an afternoon of workshops for any singer. Whether you are involved in a choir, have private lessons or just enjoy singing around the home, Sing Out will provide an afternoon of music and song with an opportunity to meet likeminded singers. Organised by Charlotte Mendly Voice Centre with speical guests Rachel Cropley & Rosie Braddy.
All voice leaders and performers are based within North Nottinghamshire and each have their own active and thriving musical careers. Each singer is excited about coming together to deliver further singing opportunities within the area.Â
Each workshop will include harmony, vocal teachnique, expression and performance skills. The chosen repertoire will be contemporary and inclusive for all singers. Further details of what the workshops entail will be disclosed over August 2023.

Rachel Cropley
Associate of Trinity College London Singing Diploma, PGCE, BA Hons
Rachel is Musical Director for local community choir, Rock n Soul Singers, based in Underwood. Since joining them a year ago she has injected energy and enthusiasm into their rocking back catalogue of popular songs and every rehearsal is about having fun and improving vocal technique.
Music has been a huge part of Rachel’s life from a very young age, singing in her local church choir, attending Nottingham Music School and Nottingham Youth Theatre, and taking part in multiple choirs, bands and orchestras, including being a long standing member of Nottingham Harmonic Choir.
Recently Rachel has been running preschool, toddler and preschool music groups and she loves to learn about the neurological and wellbeing benefits of singing together - they are many!

With many years of singing lessons, singing within and leading various choirs plus singing and conducting courses, including a Vocal Health First Aid course, Rachel has a wealth of knowledge about good singing technique and keeping the voice healthy.
